In 2014, our family embarked on an incredible journey when we became the proud owners of Buchanan's Store. We weren't simply purchasing a business—we were becoming caretakers of a treasured piece of our community's history. Since 1878, Buchanan's Store has been a gathering place for friends, neighbors, travelers, and families. We are honored to continue that legacy while creating new traditions for future generations.

Growing Together

Over the years, we've worked hard to grow Buchanan's Store while staying true to its small-town roots. What started as a country store has grown into a destination for locals and visitors alike.

Today, you'll find much more than everyday essentials. We've added a grill serving fresh breakfast and lunch, a Hershey's Ice Cream shop, a garden center, fishing supplies and bait for nearby Kerr Lake, locally made products, gifts, home décor, apparel, and seasonal merchandise. Every addition has been made with one goal in mind—creating a place our community enjoys visiting.
